Rock climbing training |
Rock climbing is a deservedly popular sport and most of our staff are keen and experienced in a wide variety of outdoor pursuits. Between us, we have walked and climbed on many of the world’s continents. When not trying to get up mountains, we’re skiing or cycling down them, crawling underneath them or paddling down the rivers they create - first and foremost, we are an outdoors pursuits organisation and the use of our climbing wall provides groups and associations with a safe, repeatable environment to learn the etiquette and technical skills associated with rock climbing. While it’s raining or dark, sports halls climbing walls are brilliant, as are the commercial rock climbing centres - but they aren’t local. By virtue of the climbing wall being transportable, we bring the rockface to you. |
When training rock climbing, the hydraulic belays can be replaced with traditional ropes and friction devices. We can provide a wide range of equipment from classic Figure of Eight and Stitcht plates through to modern belay devices. Jumaring and rappelling can be taught using a variety of ascendeurs and descendeurs. |
With half day and evening bookings exclusively available to local groups, ready2climb provides the flexibility that your organisation needs |
Rope and belay etiquette is taught, as is care of equipment and knot training. Advanced ropework skills can be taught, including rope rescues and transfers |
