Safety Checks |
A number of safety checks are conducted on the equipment and the people using the climbing wall. Individual climbers are checked for correct fit of harnesses and correct operation of karabiners. Items such as loose objects (mobile phones especially!) and shoe laces are routinely checked as part of the preparation process. |
Daily and climber checks |
Daily checks are conducted on the wall and other equipment – the contents and charge status of the hydraulic reservoirs, inspections of harnesses and karabiners, etc to ensure that operation can be safely maintained. |
Other periodic checks are conducted on handholds, the automatic belaying systems, and trailer mechanical items in accordance with the inspection procedures identified by the wall manufacturer. |
Periodic Inspections |
Detailed records are kept identifying the usage of key components - harnesses, ropes, karabiners, etc. Many of our customers inspect our records to help satisfy their own obligations towards the users of the climbing wall. |
